Fetal Liver – Stromal Cells

Fetal Liver Mesenchymal Stem Cells (FL-MSC) are derived from cultured fetal liver mononuclear cells. First, fetal liver tissue is enzymatically digested and further processed to generate a leukocyte-rich suspension. Mononuclear cells are enriched from the leukocyte-rich suspension by a density gradient separation and subsequently cultured. Cultured fetal liver stromal cells have a fibroblast-like phenotype and express CD90 and CD105 in addition to being CD14, CD34 and CD45 negative.
