Bone Marrow: Compensation for bone marrow donation is $250. The first step is to qualify as a donor. To do so, you must first complete the donor form. Next you will be asked to participate in a 5-minute telephone screening interview with a StemExpress staff member. If you pass the telephone screening, you will be scheduled to come to StemExpress for a 30-minute in-person New Donor Screening Appointment where you will be weighed, and a small sample of your blood will be collected and tested off site. You will not donate any bone marrow products for the researchers at the screening visit and no compensation is offered for completing the screening visit. In 7 to 10 days if the results are cleared, you will be contacted by StemExpress to schedule a future donation appointment. Bone marrow donation takes approximately 45 minutes. You will receive you VISA Gift Card donation of $250 as soon as your donation is completed.

Whole Blood: Compensation is offered for blood donation at $25 per unit. The first step is to qualify as a donor. To do so, you must first complete the donor form. Next you will be asked to participate in a 5-minute telephone-screening interview with a StemExpress staff member. If you pass the telephone screening, you will be scheduled to come to StemExpress for a 30-minute in-person New Donor Screening Appointment where you will be weighed, and a small sample of your blood will be collected and tested off site. You will not donate any blood for the researchers at the screening visit and no compensation is offered for completing the screening visit. In 7 to 10 days, once the results are cleared, you will be contacted by StemExpress to schedule a future donation appointment. Whole blood donation takes approximately 25 minutes. You will receive you VISA Gift Card donation of $25 as soon as your donation is completed.

Maternal Blood: Compensation is offered for maternal blood donation at $50 per unit. You must be over 18, over 10 weeks pregnant (with proof of pregnancy) and sign a consent form. It will take 10 minutes and you can come back every two weeks until you are no longer pregnant. You will receive you VISA Gift Card donation of $50 as soon as your donation is completed.

Leukopheresis/Apheresis: Compensation is offered for apheresis donation at $100 per unit. The first step is to qualify as a donor. To do so, you must first complete the donor form. Next you will be asked to participate in a 5-minute telephone-screening interview with a StemExpress staff member. If you pass the telephone screening, you will be scheduled to come to StemExpress for a 30-minute in-person New Donor Screening Appointment where you will be weighed, and a small sample of your blood will be collected and tested off site. You will not donate any blood for the researchers at the screening visit and no compensation is offered for completing the screening visit. In 7 to 10 days, once the results are cleared, you will be contacted by StemExpress to schedule a future donation appointment. On the day of your donation, a sample will be taken to make sure your baseline blood cell count fall within a normal range. The apheresis donation takes up to 4 hours to complete. We will supply you with movies and music to help pass the time. You will receive you VISA Gift Card donation of $100 as soon as your donation is completed.
