Support Our Legal Defense

Planned Parenthood and their political cronies are waging an all-out, meritless legal assault against CMP, our citizen journalists, and ultimately against the First Amendment. They have sued us for almost everything, except, conspicuously, for defamation, slander, or libel—because the video camera doesn’t lie. CMP and David Daleiden‘s legal team have already notched up two resounding victories against Planned Parenthood’s persecution, but three serious cases remain. Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry’s goal has always been to silence our investigative reporting and cover up the criminal human trafficking of aborted infants.

GIVE TODAY to help us face down Planned Parenthood’s criminal abortion empire in the courtroom.

Active Cases

San Francisco Federal Court:
Planned Parenthood Federation of America, et al vs. CMP, et al and
National Abortion Federation vs. CMP, et al

These twin civil lawsuits from Planned Parenthood and NAF are both before Judge William Orrick III, who helped open, run, and fund a Planned Parenthood clinic in San Francisco for many years. This clinic is part of Planned Parenthood Northern California, one of the named Plaintiffs suing CMP in Judge Orrick’s courtroom and one of the Planned Parenthood affiliates currently under DOJ investigation for selling aborted fetal parts to StemExpress. The NAF lawsuit includes an unconstitutional gag order from Judge Orrick suppressing the release of CMP’s remaining undercover footage of Planned Parenthood leadership.

Both cases are going on appeal.

San Francisco State Court:
The People of the State of California vs. David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt

As California Attorney General, Kamala Harris, at the behest of Planned Parenthood, leveraged the powers of California’s top law enforcement agency to try to silence CMP and our founder David Daleiden with 15 bogus, politically-motivated felony charges, all stemming from the California videotaping law against recording “confidential” communications. The conversations recorded took place in open, public areas, where numerous people could and did overhear, and concerned criminal behavior now under investigation by the U.S. DOJ—yet AG Harris’ office asserted that they were somehow “confidential.” CMP’s investigators didn’t do anything different from what investigative journalists do every day in the state of California—except that we caught the sacred cows of the California political establishment, Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation. Since the case was filed in 2017, half of the charges have been thrown out, and the illegal collusion between the California Attorney General, Planned Parenthood, and NAF continues to be litigated.

Previous Victories

Los Angeles State Court:
StemExpress, et al vs. Center for Medical Progress, et al

Planned Parenthood’s major business partner in selling baby body parts, StemExpress, sued CMP to block the release of undercover footage of StemExpress leadership admitting that they sometimes receive fully intact fetuses, seeking “another 50 livers a week” from a “volume institution” like Planned Parenthood, and admitting that supplying body parts is “profitable” for abortion clinics. StemExpress lost their attempt to obtain a gag order, and after being charged with contempt of Congress and being referred to the FBI and DOJ for criminal investigation and prosecution, StemExpress dropped their lawsuit against CMP and walked away with nothing.

Houston, TX State Court:
State of Texas vs. David Daleiden

In Houston, TX, a corrupt District Attorney, Devon Anderson, and her pro- abortion Assistant District Attorney, Sunni Mitchell, convened a runaway grand jury ostensibly to investigate Planned Parenthood, but in reality to cover up for them and instead attack David and CMP. The TX grand jury issued no ruling on Planned Parenthood’s conduct, but indicted David on two bogus charges: attempting to buy and sell human body parts, and the use of a fictitious photo ID. Ultimately, two different TX judges threw out the charges, with the DA’s office finally agreeing the case should be dismissed. Houston voters then threw out DA Anderson, and her successor fired ADA Mitchell.

The Legal Team

CMP and David Daleiden are represented in the civil lawsuits by the Dhillon Law Group. You can support CMP directly and we will apply it where it is needed most in the legal defense and in our efforts to continue to report the truth despite the abortion industry’s attempt to weaponize the courts for censorship.

David Daleiden is represented in the San Francisco state case by Hon. Steve Cooley, three-times elected District Attorney of Los Angeles County, and Brent Fereira, former LA County Deputy DA, of Steve Cooley & Associates.
